Carmen Michels

It was during my communication studies, when I discovered the new Master specialized in Media Education that I developed my interest in this field. During my master in Brussels, I had to chance to discover a lot of different projects in Belgium but also in Luxembourg and Germany. In my master thesis I focused on developping critical thinking in the field of media literacy. Due to my background as a freelance journalist, I'm mainly interested in projects covering journalism and political issues, but also social Media and hate speech have sparked my interest. At the moment, I'm working in the Luxembourgish Safer Internet Center, and I would like to join the IAME to stay informed about the developpement in Media literacy on a more international scale.
