Jane Whyatt

Hi there, I have been a journalist for over forty years and also throughout my career a teacher – organising summer schools and after school clubs and community radio stations where I could train young ( and older!) people in media production and journalism techniques, and media literacy. I have taught journalism at all of London's university journalism schools and founded three media startups. Now I work at the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, campaigning against fake news, hate speech and the malign effects of digitalisation and defending journalists under threat.
