As we step into the New Year, we extend our heartfelt wishes for a year filled with exciting opportunities and innovative approaches in media literacy education. May you uncover new paths to fuel your passion and dedicate as much time as possible engaging with children and young minds. Their fresh perspectives constantly breathe vitality into our work, grounding us and reminding us of the profound impact we can have.
The coming year, 2024, is expected to present political challenges for many nations across the globe. As media educators, we play a crucial role in fostering and supporting democratic processes. Your efforts to critically analyze the media’s implications during this electoral year, no matter how small, will undoubtedly make a difference, even if the immediate effects may not always be apparent.
We encourage you to find support and inspiration within IAME as we navigate these challenges together and we embark on a new project on AI and media education (TADAM). Share your experiences and initiatives on our social media platforms, fostering an exchange of information and best practices that will not only inspire but also strengthen our sense of community.
Here’s to a year of growth, shared learning, and the collective impact of our efforts.
Happy New Year!
